What Is Green Lipped Mussel Other Than A Health Supplement For Sufferers Of Chronic Joint Pain?

,
3D ANIMATION :

It goes without saying that life is tough. It takes a toll on the human mind, as it takes a toll on the human body. Rare is the individual who arrives at middle age without his or her share of old injuries and the accompanying aches and pains, some of them of the chronic variety.

In lieu of a visit to the doctor's office many people turn instead to all natural health supplements. This is how traditional medicines came to be. Since ancient times, tribal peoples such as the Maori of New Zealand, simply looked around at the natural bounty in their local environment and through experience, and no doubt, some error, learned what plant and animal extracts worked best to relieve their physical complaints.

This tradition has continued with modern all natural health supplements.

The most common health complaint of middle-aged persons and the elderly are inflammation and stiffness in the joints, along with a sensitivity to touch. These symptoms are usually the result of aged-related degenerative diseases such as Osteoarthritis (OA).

Similar complaints are also heard from sufferers of painful auto-immune disorders such as Lupus or Rheumatoid Arthritis. (RA)

The list is an extensive one that comprises the causes of chronic joint pain and inflammation. As a result of this, people employ health supplements to ease the tenderness in their aching joints and extremities.

Omega 3 fatty acids have powerful anti-inflammatory properties and can relieve swelling and tenderness in joints damaged by chronic debilitating diseases. Sources of this vital fatty acid are cold ocean fish such as salmon, herring, mackerel and tuna.

Ocean shellfish are also reliable sources of Omega 3 fatty acids and this fact has become general knowledge around the world.

Many people have also heard mention of the Green Lipped Mussel but have no real idea about the particulars of this unique marine animal.

So they ask. "What is the Green Lipped Mussel?"

This remarkable, and rather large, bivalve is native to the pristine ocean waters off the coast of New Zealand. The coastline of the country is a pristine ocean expanse that is one of the prime harvesting areas for Green Lipped Mussel on the planet.

Perna canaliculus, which is the scientific name of the mussel, is also regarded as a higher-quality source of Omega 3 fatty acids than other ocean shellfish.

This accounts for the animal's huge popularity as a health supplement.

Unless a cure for aging is magically just around the corner, chronic aches, pains, inflammation and tenderness in the joints and limbs will remain at the top of the list of the primary health complaints of middle-aged persons and the elderly.

Also at the top of the list as a source for relief will be the essential Omega 3 fatty acids which are contained in the extract of the remarkable and enduring Green Lipped Mussel of New Zealand.

Careers with Horses

,
3D ANIMATION :

If you are anything like Robert Botine Cunningham-Graham, Scottish horseman, writer, and adventurer, then you know that there is no heaven without horses. If you eat, sleep, and breathe horses, then why not parlay all your time and effort into a career in the horse industry? Can you imagine a better way to spend your days?

Surveys done over the last several years show that there are 7 million horses in the United States today. And according to American Horse Council figures, the horse industry supports more than 1.4 million full-time jobs. There are a variety of careers in the horse industry, from hands-on jobs like large-animal veterinarian to jobs that support the industry, like feed and supplement distributor. There are jobs in breeding, showing, health, education, product manufacturing, research, recreation, and service industries to name just a few that come to mind. And one of these areas is most likely just right for you!

So, how do you find a job in the horse industry that is right for you? Well, before you start randomly sending out resumes to every horse-related employer you know of, you need to spend some time considering the type of career you want. In many cases, you'll have to come up with a plan that will lead you to that career. As wonderful as it is that you want to be a large animal veterinary technician, no one is going to hire you without the right credentials. In other words, like most worthwhile pursuits in life, you are going to have to spend a little time and effort to reach your goals.

So, are you ready? Answer these few simple questions and you'll be on your way to finding an equine career that is right for you:

o What do I want out of a horse career? Do you want daily contact with horses, or are you interested in working in a supporting field without daily contact? There are pros and cons to both. A supporting role may offer you a higher income, regular hours, more job stability, and better benefits, but a hands-on career gives you flexibility and the ability to work around your favorite animals every day. What is more important to you? Think very seriously about your own interests, abilities, and personality. It won't hurt to spend a few minutes writing down why you want to work with horses.

o What experience and education do I currently have? There is no teacher like experience, but is it more important than education in the horse industry? That depends on the job. For those seeking skilled hands-on positions like trainers, barn managers, and riding instructors, the more time you've spent around horses the better. Other choices, such as equine vet, writer, public relations expert, or lawyer require a college education and additional training.

o What experience and education am I willing to get to achieve my career goals? If you require experience and education to break into a career in the horse industry, you need to have a good understanding of how much time and money it is going to cost to reach your goals. Do you have the time and money to spare, and are you willing to do so?

o What income do I need? Most people work in the horse industry because their love of horses supercedes their love of money. Many hands-on jobs provide minimal pay and benefits just for the pleasure of being around horses. Salaries improve with higher-level hands on jobs, and support jobs often pay the most and offer the best benefits. Before you make a commitment to a career, know how much money you need to live. Then do some research to find out if your career can realistically support you.

o Where should I enter the industry in order to have a good chance of meeting my goal? Whatever career track you are pursuing, enter the industry in a job that you can handle with your present skills and experience. Getting in over your head may not only prevent you from advancing, it is dangerous! Once you've figured out your entry level, you can work your way up as you gain experience.

Online Veterinary Technician Degree Courses

,
3D ANIMATION :

The career of a veterinary technician is centered on the assistance needed and required from a veterinarian. The skills needed to work with animals can be learned through specialized training as a veterinary technician. This knowledge can be gained through courses provided by online degree programs.

Online courses focus on teaching students how to care for animals. This care can encompass taking vitals or assisting the veterinarian in surgery. Specific work done inside an office consists of:

  • Preliminary Evaluation of Animals
  • Checking Vitals
  • Cleaning Wounds
  • Delivering Medicines

Duties that are included with these tasks include lab work like blood tests and teeth cleaning. Assisting involves providing service in examinations and surgical procedures. Other duties include administrative work like:

  • Stocking Supplies
  • Cleaning Equipment
  • Keeping the Office in Working Condition

Online coursework is interactive and incorporates a multi-media platform to teach students how to function inside the workplace. Platforms can include textbooks, videos, and communication via Internet technologies. Entering online education is ideal for students who have full-time jobs and other responsibilities that don't allow them to attend a traditional campus.

Students have a few options they can choose from when starting education. Many students enroll in a complete program at the associate's level to learn all the necessary skills to start a career. Another useful option is for students to find an online college that offers individual courses. This is beneficial for students who don't have a lot of extra time to devote to studies. Students can also use individual courses to see if they want to pursue a full degree program.

With the ease of online learning students can finish courses on their time by creating a personalized study schedule. Courses are designed to teach students about every aspect of technician work. Typical online courses that make up study include many topics like:

  • Animal Care
  • Animal Medicine
  • Anatomy
  • Hematology
  • Microbiology

Learning to work with animals is essential. A course on animal behavior is a general overview of how animals behave. Topics focus on theories and behavior modification techniques that can be applied to animal care. With a lot of blood work handled to determine illnesses students take an important course on hematology. Principles are discussed on identifying blood cells, blood cell counts, and procedure for blood smears. Study focuses on all hematological features for a number of species including farm and exotic animals. These courses are directly transferable into a career or degree program.

Other important technician studies online include pharmacology and surgical assisting. Students learn how to deliver medication to animals in a pharmacology course. Topics should include terminology and dosages. This is important in order to prescribe the right medication and delivery method to a hurt or sick animal. A surgical assisting course provides knowledge on how to administer anesthetic and learn common performed procedures. Preparation of surgery, animal care, and surgical equipment are some subjects discussed. Learning these skills and more can be obtained through a number of online courses. Students should evaluate their career goals and schedule to determine if online courses are for them.

Participating in accredited courses or a degree program is vital to be a veterinary technician. Students can ensure a quality education will be received by enrolling in a school that carries full accreditation. Accreditation can be provided by agencies like the Accrediting Commission on Career Schools and Colleges (Accsc.org). Finding online colleges that offer courses is the first step to entering a career. Students can enter the workforce by gaining an education today.

Think About Taking Your Child To A Hunting Preserve When Introducing Them To The Sport

,
3D ANIMATION :

Our children and grandchildren hold the future of hunting in their hands. I am sure that you have heard this before and it has never been truer than it is today. The youngsters of this day and age are stuck inside - targeted by corporations whose non-stop attack against them includes TV shows, movies, games and internet programing. All of these distractions have our kids stuck inside doing nothing other than blankly staring into an LED lit screen.

If we hunters are going to successfully compete against these distractions for time with our own kids then we need to give it our best shot. Children today get instantaneous gratification from the devices they play with and watch. If there is something in particular that they want to see... with the click of a mouse button or the tap of a finger it's instantly in front of them on demand! If they cannot get it right now most feel it's not worth getting in the first place.

All of this takes me back to the topic at hand. Consider a hunting preserve when introducing a youngster to the sport of hunting. We as hunters need to get our kids out of the house and back into nature. We need to get them hooked on hunting from the word go.

The youth of today are programmed for video game type action where BAM... from the second it's turned on the action starts. Here me out here, I'm not saying a bunch of killing and gunfire has to take place for this to be a fun time for your child. What I am saying though is that there needs to be lots of action. Spotting lots of game animals all throughout a hunt. This is where I see that a Hunting Preserve holds an advantage over other types of hunting land set-ups, especially for a first time outing.

Hunting Preserves - because it's their business always have huge wildlife populations, cozy hunting boxes and awesome hunting action. "ACTION" is the keyword in that last sentence. That is what kids of this day and age are used to and we really should try to give it to them for their first real trip.

Obviously before your child is ready to go out into the woods and harvest an animal there are several preparations to be made and skills that must be mastered and learned. Hunter safety, firearm handling, outdoorsman skills along with others need to be passed on from adult to child before a hunt can happen. Make it part of your plan from the start that once these skills are mastered the reward is the first hunting trip.

I know that I did that right and I did it big with my son for his first hunting experience. I'm sure he will never forget it. He was hooked from the start and I know he still is today. I now have my best friend, my son, as my life-long hunting partner because of the way I introduced him to this sport. He started successfully as a child and now at 14 yrs. old he is a very accomplished hunter who has taken several deer all by himself.

It would be my dream if all the readers of this article who are hunters would consider taking a kid, providing them with training and then reward them with an exciting and eventful first time hunting experience. If that first time experience means a pay hunt at a game rich preserve or just a dove shoot at the farm, just make it full of ACTION and fun. By doing so we will be successful in keeping the next generation of hunters involved in the sport and this will ensure that hunting stays strong and grows well into the future.

History of the Chinese Astrology Sign Information

,
3D ANIMATION :

Chinese astrology has been around ever since ancient astrologers stared at and examined the skies for foreshadowing, potential predictions of their country's future. Today, individuals worldwide are concerned with the history of the Chinese astrology, going so far as to check their Chinese horoscopes just as westerners daily check theirs. The Chinese zodiac comprises a twelve year cycle whereby each year is named for one of a dozen animals: the snake, sheep, tiger, dragon, boar, rooster, monkey, rat, ox, horse, rabbit, and dog. One person's future circumstances or destiny can be established through both the planets' positions and the date upon which he or she was born. Chinese astrology is still practiced in today's Chinese society, to the point where childbirth is "scheduled" to take place under a given zodiac period.

In accordance with the history of the Chinese astrology, one's traits, persona, future achievements and degree of success can be influenced via his or her specific zodiac. Let it be known however, an individual's horoscope is more complicated than the mere animal which depicts his or her year. The premise of Chinese horoscopes is also dependent upon the five elements relative to the planet under which the person was born. Earth, fire, metal, wood and water correspondingly represent the five planets, Saturn, Mars, Venus, Jupiter, and Mercury. The specific combination of element and relative planet determines the personal character traits of those twelve aforementioned animal signs. For instance, someone who embodies the Tiger, its fixed element being wood, is hard to predict, a rebel, strong, fervent, venturous, and impetuous.

However, Chinese astrology, besides founding the zodiacs in an individual's year of birth, also utilizes the month(inner animal) and hour(secret animal) to determine that person's characteristics and unique traits. Even though one is a Monkey by virtue of being born in the year of the Monkey, he or she could internally be a Lion internally while secretly a Snake. But let us not stop there. Numerous additional considerations bear upon one person's zodiac: which troika or groups of three do the animals belong? This, too, is dependent upon characteristic similarities.

Chinese astrology allows others to evaluate you on a personal level while, too, allowing you to assess you and your personality. During this introspection, you can ascertain what will transpire regarding your happiness, achievements, and future good fortune. Even today, the chronicling of the Chinese astrology is still being established. Some purported the Beijing Olympics to be a celebration of 2008 as China's year of good fortune. But what happened instead? Numerous calamities befell that country ahead of the opening Olympic ceremonies.

Additionally, other nations, too, have referred to Chinese horoscopes in hopes of determining what a certain day will bring. Thai, Japanese, Korean and Vietnamese zodiacs are all based on the Chinese calendar except for modest deviations. Chinese influence upon a multitude of civilizations is so expansive that Chinese communities worldwide continue to consult and even live by predictions established in Chinese horoscopes.

Whether it be science, entertainment, or a blend of both, rest assured that the history of the Chinese astrology will continue to intrigue as well as confound for many generations to come.

Web Design Tactics Part Six - Making Structure And Style Choices

,
3D ANIMATION :

Once we decide the purpose of our site it is necessary to choose the structural and style features. Choose these features based on the type of information you are presenting and how you will present it. These style and structure features are like a house's foundation. Do not regard these features as finishing touches that are easy to change at the end of the project.

Content Management vs. HTML

At the beginning it is important to understand that a website is not just like any other website. An HTML website is good for certain types of purposes while a CMS or Content Management System is the best thing for companies which have greater needs. If you are offering a service or a few products an HTML website may serve perfectly well. For sites which store information such as university sites, a standard HTML site is not the best choice. A database driven system is more efficient in storing that sort of information. If you will be selling a great number of products or need a section for salesmen to log in and enter sales data, then you will need a CMS or database driven website. I have found that the Drupal CMS is very efficient, powerful and adaptive. The CMS can store data on inventory, sales statistics, customer's comments etc. You may easily structure a CMS in such a way to process a large volume of diverse information so that different groups of people have access to it under different situations. It is important to make these decisions early in the process to make certain that we get off on a proper footing.

Flash vs. No Flash

Some people prefer the use of Flash on their site as it aids a very eye pleasing tone and a liberal use of animation. Flash is an animation technology developed, originally by Macromedia Corporation. Designers use Flash in videos, games and menu systems in web design. However, sites made entirely of flash are at a definite disadvantage in terms of Search Engine placement. A search engine crawler cannot read the content displayed in a Flash display since Flash is merely seen as an object and not as text.

Using Flash in a limited way may enhance your website. Smaller Flash scenes serve to add attractive animation to smaller areas of the site or a side bar. Thus Flash done in this way will not obscure the text for the search engine crawler of spider. The excessive use of smaller flash movies is not a good thing on any site. The use of movement on a page is harmful if it is overdone. It is possible to program a flash header or small flash movie so that it only repeats a several times and then stops. Give careful thought to the use of Flash before launching into the site development.

Fixed Width, Fluid Width or Flexible Width

Ask your web designer about the differences in a Fixed Width vs. a Fluid Width site. Each designer has his/her preferences, on this feature, as I have mine. A fluid width site design has its width set up in percentages rather than pixel sizes. It may take up a bit more or even the entire browser screen, depending on the screen resolution. The fluid width site can expand to unreasonably wide sizes if viewed on a really large monitor or on a TV screen. On a really small screen (800 x 600 in this day) the contents of a fluid width site can seem too compressed with little or no white space. Fixed size items such as pictures and video players may slip down to the next line and look unsightly. This design style takes a lot more work to complete than the fixed width site. The fixed width site will always be the same size in pixels. In the fixed width, everything including pictures, video players will always stay put and will always look nice. In my opinion, the fixed width site is the best all-around site design.

You must make these foundational choices and stand by them once the design work begins. To ask for changes after that will result in added fees.

Does A Dog Remember?

,
3D ANIMATION :

Have you ever heard of the theory that a dog has no 'episodic memory?' This means that he does not have the ability to 'remember' personally experienced events and situations in the past; he is 'stuck in time' living only in the present. The conjecture is that he gets 'used' to things but does not necessarily 'remember' them. In other words, your canine can know how to respond to the command 'sit' without having any 'memory' of the specific event in which he learned it.

I'm sure we've all heard of stories that espouse a pet's memory. When my father was a boy he had a wire fox terrier. Due to reasons that I have forgotten, their beloved pet was left a great distance away from their house. Albeit, it took two months but he finally did find his way back home! Did he not 'remember' where his cushy set-up was? Did he not 'remember' the scent of his own family? Was this due to pure conditioning and response only with no 'memory?'

Well, I'm no academic expert on animal behavior, but I'll tell you something, our dog Daniel sure could 'remember' personally experienced events in the past - and quite well, indeed!

He had the run of the outside stairs. There are three flights before our front door. He was a medium-sized, Heinz 57, but running up and down the stairs all day made him as strong as a bull! This mongrel loved to sit on the second landing and survey all of his territory, which he figured was as far as he could see!

We live about a block from a public school and at three o'clock the kids got out. Adolescents, being who they are, felt that it was their appointed duty to tease the dog as much as possible, without getting caught of course. We knew something was happening because my father found little cuts on Daniel's nose and face. We suspected that someone was throwing stones at him.

It was during summer holidays when my father was outside with our pooch. A boy of about 15 appeared. You know, that cocky-has-his-swagger-on type. He came strutting by our house like the only rooster in the hen house, when all of a sudden Daniel broke away and viciously dove at the kid. The dog knocked him to the ground and was growling and pawing at him. The boy was terrified! My father had to peel Daniel off of him!

When the dog was finally restrained and his victim brushed off from the dirt, my father asserted to the young man, "So, you're the kid who's been throwing stones at my dog!" The boy, although scared witless, denied it. My father kept pressing him about it but he stood firm in his refute! However, when the dog once again started snapping, lunging, clawing and growling... the kid finally owned up!

Daniel actually gave him a superficial cut on his face with his claws. My father cleaned it up, the lad apologized for his malicious behavior and my father promised not to tell his parents. He never threw anything at our dog again, never teased him again and as far as I know, he avoided passing by our way whenever he could!

Does a dog live only in the present or does he 'remember' personal experiences? Did Daniel 'remember' someone's attacks on him? Did he 'remember' it was that certain boy who threw the stones? You bet he did... and long after they occurred, too! Daniel always had a certain tone to his bark whenever that particular boy ever ventured by our house again, and it still scared him witless! Why do people think that animals are stupid?

Quality Dog Breeders - What to Look For

,
3D ANIMATION :

New puppy owners should always make sure that their dog comes from a responsible breeder. This is really is the only way to ensure that the animal will be free of any behavioral problems. If a breeder you speak with displays any of the following 5 traits, he or she probably isn't breeding healthy puppies in accordance with standards that have been set for the breed.

1. The breeder is willing to sell you any puppy you want, no questions asked.

All reputable dog breeders care about what happens to each and every puppy they breed, even after it leaves their care. A good breeder will ask you many, many questions about your lifestyle, experience with the breed, house and property size, show or breeding experience, and other aspect of your life that may affect the puppy's future.

If your answers to these questions are not satisfactory, then the breeder probably won't sell the puppy to you. A good breeder will also require that you sign a contract in which you agree to:

Have the puppy fixed if you're not going to breed it;

Notify the breeder if the dog develops any diseases or medical conditions;

Notify the breeder first if you are no longer able to care for your dog; and, do anything else the breeder feels is important for the health and well-being of the puppy and the breed. If your breeder doesn't seem to care about the puppy's future and only seems interested in payment, go to another breeder.

2. The breeder seems reluctant to answer questions about the puppy's pedigree.

A reputable breeder knows all about the pedigrees of the puppies he or she sells. He or she knows who the parents were and can provide you with each puppy's lineage, going back several generations. You will also want to register your puppy with the American Kennel Club.

The breeder is supposed to supply you with an registration application with his or her portion already filled out. After you fill out and submit your part of the application, you'll receive a registration certificate. If the breeder you are dealing with cannot provide you with any documentation or registration papers for either the litter or the parents, be extremely wary.

3. The breeder does not seem too concerned with the health of his or her animals.

Any potential buyer of a purebred puppy should be able to see the facility in which the animal was bred. Do the puppies and other dogs there look healthy? If not, then the breeder may not be keeping an appropriate standard of care.

This could affect the future health of the puppy in which you're interested. The breeder should also have a record of the puppy's health care, from birth to the present, and should be happy to provide you with copies. He or she should also guarantee that the puppy is free from any genetic disorders.

4. The breeder won't allow you to see the breeding area.

Any reputable breeder will be happy to give you a tour of their facility. If the breeder you've chosen is not willing to let you see where your potential puppy comes from, the breeder may be running a puppy mill.

Puppy mills are facilities that breed puppies only for profit, not for the benefit or love of the breed. Often, multiple dogs are crammed into one cage, the living conditions are filthy and the dogs there do not receive the proper nutrition or medical care. If the puppy you want comes from such a facility, it will most likely have serious medical and behavioral issues related to its stay there.

5. The breeder engages in questionable business practices.

If the asking price for your purebred puppy is significantly lower than other prices you've seen advertised for the same breed, there may be something wrong with the dog.

Perhaps it comes from a puppy mill or has some serious medical issues. If the breeder also sells to pet stores, you can be pretty sure that he or she is operating a puppy mill. Reputable breeders usually concentrate on one or two breeds. If the breeder advertises that he or she has many different breeds for sale, then this is another indication that he or she may be breeding animals indiscriminately, without much concern for set breed standards.

Did You Know That - Laptop Skin Facts

,
3D ANIMATION :

1. Laptop skin is a decorative piece of vinyl with an adhesive layer on the underside. The adhesive layer ensures that the skin stays fastened onto the laptop cover. Usually, a good adhesive layer will allow for easy and clean removal from the surface.

2. It is also otherwise known as laptop decal and laptop sticker.

3. Laptop decals come in a wide variety of designs - from simple logos, patterns, abstract art to even digital pictures from your favorite Walt Disney animation.

4. They can be used to personalize your laptop. By choosing a design which you can identify with, you can let the world know the kind of person that you are.

5. Due to the injection of certain chemicals, some high quality skins can even withstand extreme heat and cold, radiation and chemical corrosion. They are resistant to tear, water and sunlight-fade.

6. High resolution image technology is typically used to render photo-realistic image quality and exceptional color density in good quality laptop skins.

7. Laptop decals are usually applied only on dry surfaces. However, some laptop decal producers are able to produce a vinyl that can be applied onto the surface without water.

8. Laptop stickers can be purchased singly or in bulk. There are certain laptop skin producers who specialize only in bulk orders. However, for most people, they are only interested in getting the single or few pieces of laptop skin designs which they like - there is no obligation or the need to buy things in bulk!

9. Laptop decals generally have good scratch resistance and robust handling qualities making them ideal for protecting your laptop from fresh scratches.

10. They come in different finishes, with lamination and varnish being most common finishes. The lamination layer in some inferior quality laptop skins may come off in 6 months. Hence, it pays to invest in a good quality laptop skin.

Working With an Animation Studio

,
3D ANIMATION :

When you embark on your animation project, it may seem like a daunting process. You have to work out where to begin with the script, brainstorm the type of illustrations you want and then you have to source your animators. Animated web videos are the current trend in web videos at the moment so studios providing animation services are popping up all over the UK. There are some benefits of working with a studio as opposed to freelancers.

Working with an animation studio, all of the production process happens in the one place. Animators, illustrators and producers are all in the same team, so it's easier overall for you to manage the project on your end and ensure that nothing is missed out. Nothing slips through the cracks and everything is on the table. Animation companies can often be more affordable, without the competitive prices of hiring a variety of freelancers.

To get started finding your animation studio, it's best to come up with your initial concept. By approaching the studio with your concept first, they can go through your ideas along with you and mock up estimate budgets for the proposal. The factors they will take into consideration during this process include: style of animation, length of the overall video, script and music requirements. Make sure you set out all your initial ideas for the video in this brief, because this is what the animation studio will have to go on to give you an estimate cost for the project.

It's also imperative to do background research on the videos that the studio you approach has already made. This way you will get an idea of their house style. Assessing whether their portfolio of previous work is along the lines of what you desire for your video will ensure your video looks exactly like you want it to. By checking out their portfolio you can ensure that they offer the styles of animation that you have in mind.

Once you have compared a few different prices, you can choose the animation studio working within your budget and offering the animation styles that you require. The studio will then take you right through each step of the animation process, from storyboard through to voiceovers. You should ensure you are kept informed of the progress of the video throughout production, and frequently check in on the project to make sure it's all going according to plan.

Examining Dream Sequences in Eragon

,
3D ANIMATION :

The fantasy adventure "Eragon," based on book one of Christopher Paolini's trilogy about a young Dragon Rider, has been drawing criticism for borrowing ideas from the "Harry Potter" series (Hagrid's dragon eggs and baby dragons), "Star Wars" series (Luke's uncle killed by evil empire), and most notably "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy (darkly magical advisor, one young man must make a journey, etc). Another element that "Eragon" has in common with these other films is its use of dream sequences - in this case false dreams sent by an evil sorcerer working for a corrupt king.

In the movie, a teenaged farm boy named Eragon (Edward Speleers) finds what appears to be the last dragon egg. After secretly raising the animal, Eragon reluctantly becomes a Dragon Rider in order to right some of the wrongs taking place in the kingdom of Alagaesia. In an earlier era, dragons and their riders soared through the skies keeping peace across the land until tragedy brought about the apparent extinction of the fire-breathing beasts.

In addition to keeping a low profile for his own protection and that of Saphira (his dragon), Eragon struggles with other problems: when he was young his mother fled with no explanation; the uncle who raised him was murdered, despite his status as a Dragon Rider he receives little or no respect because of his young age; and he has disturbing dreams about a beautiful elf woman (Sienna Guillory as Arya) who is suffering in a prison and needs his help.

Each dream provides more information about her identity, situation, and location. Eragon has no way of knowing that the dreams are not authentic, but are being sent to him telepathically by the darkly magical Durza the Shade (Robert Carlyle) who imprisoned Arya and hopes to set a trap for the young Dragon Rider.

In accordance to scientific thought, most comedies and dramas attribute the source of dreams to the unconscious mind of the dreamer, but the fantasy, science fiction, and horror genres rely almost exclusively on the supernatural, pre-scientific conception of dreams originating from an outside evil source. Take Harry Potter's recurring dreams of Lord Valdemort and Anakin Skywalker's recurring dreams of his mother's death - all provided supernaturally from sources outside themselves.

As with Harry and Anakin, Eragon's dreams propel him towards his destiny. This destiny is unknown to the dreamers, but is understood by older, wiser, more magical beings. In addition, as "Eragon" director Stefen Fangmeier no doubt realized, if carried out successfully, dream sequences are an excellent means of providing background information and moving the story forward without bogging things down with lengthy explanations.

Continuous Itching From Terrible Allergies in Dogs

,
3D ANIMATION :

Continuous itching can be a problem when you have terrible allergies. And dogs don't care if their scratching annoys you. If they have an itch, they must scratch it. So the continuous itching needs to alert you to the cause. For the moment, put the treatment on hold. Just look for the cause.

Once you know the cause, then you can remedy that. End of continuous itching. There are a few possible causes, but by far the most common is the diet you feed your dog. Commercial dog food comes in alluring packets. Millions is spent on advertising the major brands. But little is spent on the inside of the packet, the contents. In fact, the cheaper the cost, the more the profit for the manufacturer.

Lets look at some of the ingredients of a typical commercial dog food. Much of the ingredients won't be listed, but there are ways of finding out what they are.

Meat by-products are the end product of a rendering plant. A rendering plant is where all dead animals or their unwanted parts, are processed. Euthanised pets and zoo animals, road kill, dead farm animals from cancers etc, rejects from slaughter houses. This 'meat' is then bulked out with a cheap filler. Many cheap fillers consist of anything that has been over-produced, such as sugar. Other fillers can consist of rejects for human consumption, such as mouldy grain. Melamine from China, that is responsible for killing many pets, is still being used.

To ensure a long shelf life for this product, toxic preservatives are added at some stage of the production. Examples include ethoxyquin (made for the rubber industry and causes agent orange like symptoms) and formalin (excellent for preserving dead bodies).

Do you consider any of these ingredients either healthy for your dog, or might perhaps contribute to his allergies? How would you fare on such a diet? Would you be healthy and allergy free?

If your dog has a continuous itch or has terrible allergies, start his treatment with a change of diet, preferably to a home made quality raw diet. After the initial de-tox period, his health is likely to return to that he enjoyed as a puppy.

UFOs: They Can't Be, Therefore They Aren't

,
3D ANIMATION :

Now one of the more famous literary quotes comes from George Orwell's novel, "Animal Farm". The relevant quotation goes something along this line: "All animals are equal, but some are more equal than others".

I suggest, that in terms of all things lumped together as 'paranormal' or the equivalent term 'pseudoscience', "All things paranormal are equal, but some paranormal things are more equal than others".

I've come to the conclusion that all things sceptical, all those sceptical quasi-scientific organizations like the 'CSI: Committee for Sceptical Inquiry' and equivalents around the world like the 'Australian Sceptics' organization, all those self-proclaimed scientific sceptics, seems to me to just lump all things paranormal or pseudoscientific into one great melting pot where all those paranormal ingredients are equal, and equally yucky, and equally non-credible and equally preposterous. But are they? To that I say hogwash! - Hence my paraphrasing of the famous "Animal Farm" quotation.

Now I'd be the first to agree that there's a hell of a lot of paranormal or pseudoscientific claptrap out there. Astrology is bunk; ditto such concepts as the 'Mars Effect'; numerology; ESP (extrasensory perception); telepathy; clairvoyance; reincarnation (remembering past lives); communication with the 'spirit world'; talking to your plants; prayer & prayers answered - the power of prayer; magic; psychic surgery; telekinesis; teleportation; ley lines and mystical energy grids associated with megaliths, monuments, etc.; religious and/or medical miracles: weeping statues, stigmata, Biblical codes, prophecy, and precognition; sightings of elves, fairies, the 'wee folk', leprechauns, angels, witches, goblins, demons, nymphs, bogeymen, etc. ghosts, spirits, poltergeist, phantoms, etc.; and associated haunted houses; ghost ships; etc.

However, not all of the paranormal can be confined to the rubbish bin quite so easily. UFOs aside, there's some credibility for cryptozoology - lake and sea serpents; unknown ape-like creatures (Yeti, Bigfoot, etc.); alternative medicines and medical therapies; crop circles having a non-human origin; ball lightning; transient lunar phenomena (TLP); mysterious falls of frogs or fish or ice or other unusual objects from out of a clear blue sky; fire-walking; and spontaneous human combustion.

In "Through the Looking-Glass" it's stated that it's possible to believe in six impossible things before breakfast. Science and associated philosophies have had to deal with impossibilities and wildly improbable things, some of which are straight forward, and some of which aren't - perhaps to the point where something possible is in fact impossible and fundamentally wrong. Conversely, something considered impossible might in fact be possible and fundamentally right.

A cautionary note: when it comes to what's possible or impossible; plausible or implausible; probable or improbable, majority doesn't rule. Science isn't a democracy. If a billion people believe nonsense, it's still nonsense. This however is in contrast to what has been proven beyond a reasonable scientific doubt. If a billion people continue to disbelieve something that has been proved, say Darwinian evolution, then it's those billion people who are full of nonsense, not the idea.

Time and time again the self-correcting nature of scientific investigation has invalidated the normal status quo of the day, resulting in a paradigm shift. Often the seemingly impossible has proved to be possible, even inevitable. Sometimes what's been believed to be obviously plausible as proved to be anything but plausible. So, if today's science says something's impossible - well, maybe. If I say something is impossible - the same caveat applies. I tend to argue from common sense logic, which, as any philosopher or historian of science will tell you is no sure pathway to what is, and isn't.

Okay, the UFO extraterrestrial hypothesis is considered by most serious and therefore rational scientists to be just pseudoscience, and believers in the UFO ETH are therefore pseudo-scientists, only lacking the job description identified with being a bona fide scientist.

When it comes to pseudoscience, once upon a time Galileo Galilei and Nicolaus Copernicus would have been considered pseudo-astronomers; Heinrich Schliemann (of Troy fame) someone who dabbled in pseudo-archaeology; Charles Darwin was a pseudo-naturalist; and Alfred Wegener, obviously put forth a theory (continental drift) that could only be described as pseudo-geology at the time. Even originally Albert Einstein was so far out in left field that his scientific seniors and superiors could easily have described his physics as pseudo-physics. Only time and history will be the judge whether or not the UFO ETH is pseudoscience or real science. The jury IMHO is still out on that issue.

I'll just list a few once-upon-a-time scientific impossibilities that have proved to be anything but impossibilities; here are some further examples of what some might call an equivalent of the pseudo UFO ETH but under another guise.

*It used to be quite obvious that the Sun went around the Earth - any other configuration was considered against the acceptable grain.

*Once upon a time, our Universe couldn't' be static - It was neither expanding nor contracting. Albert Einstein however knew our Universe should be contracting because of the pulling force of gravity. To counter that, and keep the static Universe he and the scientists of the times believed in, he invented his 'cosmological constant', a repulsive force to exactly counter gravity's attractive force. He later considered that his greatest scientific blunder. However, that 'cosmological constant' has resurfaced in the form of 'dark energy', a sort of antigravity, so Einstein might have been right after all!

*Black Holes, while existing theoretically on paper according to Einstein's General Theory of Relativity, could not exist in real reality - in real reality, they were quite the impossible object.

*No one pre-Darwin (even often post-Darwin) would in their right mind consider the possibility that it was possible for mankind to have had any actual evolutionary relationship with 'lower' life forms, most noticeable being the primates.

*For a very long time the notion that matter actually consisted of tiny undevidable bits called atoms - well that atomic theory was obviously pure nonsense.

*That 'island universes' were actually independent conglomerations of stars, what well call today galaxies, and not nebulous conglomerations that formed part of our own Milky Way Galaxy was deemed at best improbable if not downright impossible by astronomy's experts.

*Catastrophism in physical geology was considered a no-no for much of the time since it began as a legit part of earth science. All geology (especially landforms) could be explained as a gradual softly-softly, slowly-slowly, process. Violent events need not apply to explain things. Tell that to the dinosaurs! Of course we know better today. Catastrophism has taken its place and role playing in the geologic scheme of things.

*Speaking of physical geology, the idea that continents could drift around the globe was considered preposterous. How dare a meteorologist (Alfred Wegener in 1912) tell geologists what should have been bleeding obvious based on cartography! Geologists of course countered that there were no plausible physical mechanisms that could push the continents around. Well, there was such a mechanism as it turned out, only we may no longer call it 'continental drift' but rather plate tectonics. So, the meteorologist caught the geologists flatfooted after all.

*Once upon a time, the concept of atomic energy was pie in the sky. It was a subject no serious physicist would take at all seriously.

*Prior to its initial detonation, there were 'experts in explosives' who said that the atomic bomb could never work.

*Energy-powered airflight was once considered absolutely impossible - hot-air balloons were the only feasible means of air travel, and even they were a bit suss.

*Rocket travel Buck Rogers/Flash Gordon style was utter bilge given that there was nothing in outer space for their rocket exhaust to push against.

*It was near impossible for the human body to survive any velocities faster than the speed of a horseless carriage, or a horse for that matter, without suffering fatal anatomical consequences. However, the iron horse soon put the lie to that belief.

*The sound barrier could never be broken; to claim otherwise was to disgrace your scientific kudos in aerodynamics.

*It was once upon a time considered utterly impossible for rocks to fall from the sky; any witnesses to the contrary are damned. We now somewhat incorrectly call them 'shooting stars'; more correctly meteors, and when then hit the ground, meteorites.

*The "RMS Titanic" was absolutely 'unsinkable'; everyone and their grandmother knew that God himself couldn't sink that ship!

*The city of Troy in Homer's "Illiad" was pure mythology. There was no such place in reality until such time as amateur pseudo-archaeologist Heinrich Schliemann found Troy based on information in, Homer's "Illiad".

Now let's look at some current commonly accepted notions by scientists that they consider impossible or wildly improbable, but which, in IMHO are ultimately flawed concepts, as per the above examples, they have - flawed to the point where I suggest these scientist's 'impossibilities or implausibility's' range from an actual near certainty to only somewhat implausible.

As per the point of this essay, the UFO ETH (extraterrestrial hypothesis) immediately comes to mind, as well as that closely related concept, the 'ancient astronauts' (the UFO ETH and associated subject 'ancient astronauts' are really two fraternal twins). Why? The answer is twofold. Firstly, there is the 'Fermi Paradox' ("where is everybody?") issue; that's the theoretical argument that underpins the two. Secondly, there is much observational, mythological and archaeological evidence supporting both. Considering each in turn...

Theoretical Underpinnings: I'd like to think that Planet Earth would be among the cosmic real estate of some interest to any advanced technological species of extraterrestrial being, especially since the Cambrian Explosion over 500 million years ago when complex (multi-cellular) life forms became noticeable. Like the Star Trek mantra says, "to seek out new life..."

Now in terms of galactic or interstellar real estate, comets and asteroids are pretty common. That equally applies to airless rocky worlds. Gas giants (like Jupiter and Saturn) seem to be dime-a-dozen based on discoveries of extra-solar planets, but planetary real estate that has an atmosphere, a hydrosphere, a lithosphere, and a biosphere aren't exactly your everyday dime-a-dozen celestial bodies. So, when one such abode is detected on an extraterrestrial's 'radar', either through personal or robotically 'boldly going', or via at a distance remote sensing (for example our oxygen rich atmosphere is an obvious giveaway that just screams out as something that should be singled out for extra attention), well, that's us! We have a biosphere. We have life. Well, that's interesting.

Of course for most of our biosphere's existence, we've been interesting in the same way that an ant hill is interesting to an entomologist or a bacterium is interesting to a microbiologist. Just like it doesn't take all that much effort for an entomologist to seek out an ant hill or a microbiologist to find a microbe, so, in the cosmic scheme of things, it doesn't take all that much effort for an alien technological civilization to reach us. Many might dispute that statement, but the fact is, going from point A in our galaxy, to point B in our galaxy, violates no known laws or principles of physics. Once they have the desire and the ways and means of 'boldly going', the rest are mere technical details. And Planet Earth can no more hide from exploring alien eyes than an ant hill can hide from an inquisitive entomologist! Now you take local A, somewhere in our galaxy, home to an alien civilization. Now take place B - Planet Earth. What's the distance between the two? It doesn't matter. If the civilization can achieve 1% to 10% light speed interstellar travel - no violation of physics in that - calculate how long it would take them to get from A to B. Now, compare that with the overall age of our galaxy! You'll find the ratio is somewhere in the same ballpark as how long it took humans to migrate, explore and colonize Planet Earth!

Observational Evidence: Well, for starters, regarding UFOs (as extraterrestrial vehicles), how about over six decades on, hundreds of thousands of sightings in all countries of the globe, by all walks of life - male & female; rich & poor; professional & illiterate; the young and the elderly, all religions; all races; all nationalities; no category has been left out. Then how about witnesses, passing lie detector exams all the while insisting "I know what I saw"? Then how about the fact that there are those experts in aerial phenomena who should be able to, but can't explain all the sightings - the usual unexplained residue being between 5% and 10% - the hardcore, bona-fide UFOs. Now throw in multiple and independent witness accounts! You don't care for eyewitness testimony? Too unreliable you say? Well, chuck in a pot-full of unexplained photographic and motion pictures, lots of unexplainable radar returns, ground traces, and all manner of other bits and pieces that instrumentation has detected or can do analysis on - no human brain entered into, just iron and silicon. Also, you have the undisputed fact that many countries have undertaken official investigations into the UFO issue - that in itself suggests that the issue has been taken seriously at the highest levels, unlike say, ghosts, astrology or stigmata!

Ancient astronauts are a slightly murkier kettle-of-fish because of the massive separation in time between when the polytheistic 'gods' ruled and now. Its way easier to come to terms with what's been happening over the past 60 year's vis-à-vis 6000 years ago. Still, I'd maintain that there exists a reasonable amount of artistic and literary remnants from those long ago and far away cultures that are suggestive of otherworldly influences. For example, nearly every civilization has a mythology of legends if you will of 'sky beings' who obviously, in most cases at least, were considered some sort of 'gods', but 'gods' that were in reality, far beyond their comprehension, and thus really extraterrestrials. Since nobody in our more modern sophisticated age actually believes in supernatural deities; that leaves the pigeonholes of human imagination or aliens as being those 'sky beings'.

When it comes to mythology, my basic premise is that anytime you have near universal themes between wildly dispersed in space and/or time cultures, ethnic groups, nationalities, whatever, then you sit up and take notice that something more than just human imagination is at work.

Now, is all of that super-ultra hardcore proof? No it isn't! Is all of that real hardcore evidence? Yes it is! It's the sort of evidence that's lacking in most of the other paranormal/supernatural/pseudoscience bits and pieces that the sceptics love to collectively debunk and rubbish. But, that evidence makes my assertion that some paranormal claims are more equal than other paranormal claims more credible.

In conclusion, I note that it is very interesting that for each and every anti-UFO ETH argument, there's an equal and opposite pro-UFO ETH argument. After six plus decades, the debate is still finely balanced. That in itself is a pro-UFO ETH observation, because if the 'can't be, therefore it isn't' observation were so compelling, the interest in the UFO ETH would have dried up decades ago.

Fave Spring Holiday Spots

,
3D ANIMATION :

Spring is one of the most ideal times to go on vacation what with all the flowers in full bloom plus a great climate after the long cold days of winter. For college students, it is also the time to enjoy spring break from school with friends. If you're one of those contemplating on where to spend a relaxing spring holiday, consider some of our recommended favorite spring break vacation destinations in the Mediterranean and the Caribbean.

If you wish to experience the Mediterranean spots, you can choose to go to either Spain, Portugal, Cyprus or Turkey. Spain's coastlines offer a variety of awesome beaches. Sunny weather can be enjoyed for at least five hours each day with average temperatures ranging from 18 to 22 degrees centigrade. Beaches from the Costa Blanca, Costa Almeria and Costa Dorada up to Costa del Sol are not so crowded compared to the areas.

The same favorable climate can be experienced in the Spanish islands of Balearics and Canary. The Balearics' islands off the southeast coast are composed of Majorca, Minorca and the famous Ibiza. These places have excellent beaches, too, ideal for the family. If you're the party animal, Ibiza is highly recommended because of its lively nightlife. Meanwhile, you can also explore the Canary Islands off the west coast of Morocco. Experience great accommodation, beaches and a rich history in Canary's so-called "big four" holiday islands - Tenerife, Fuerteventura, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote.

The southern coastline of Portugal has a popular place that goes by the name of The Algarve. The spring weather there is also very comfortable and Algarve's sandy beaches are ideal for families and group of friends or workmates.

Cyprus is another ideal spring break spot because of its fantastic beaches and sunny weather with just the right temperatures. Good thing the Republic of Northern Cyprus has opened up to tourism and vacationers now have more choices. Language is no problem since English is widely used in the island. Accommodations and other holiday facilities are aplenty in the areas of Paphos, Limassol and Larnaca, located in the Greek side of the island. The Troodos Mountains are a scenic attraction best for the active vacationers who love to go hiking or cycling. Some of the island's best beaches are situated in Karpas, a narrow peninsula that has long stretches of white sand beach. Among the well-known resorts there are Kyrenia in the north and Famagusta on the eastern coast.

Turkey also has excellent resorts located along the Aegean and Mediterranean coasts. These are Izmir, Bodrum, Kusadasi, Marmaris and Antalya, among many others. More coastal towns are being developed for tourism purposes. Turkey has been a favorite destination of British vacationers who love exploring the Aegean and Mediterranean coastlines. Spring is just the right time to enjoy Turkey's beaches with good temperatures averaging between 17 and 21C.

If a Caribbean holiday is your dream, the best places to go to are Jamaica, Punta Cana, Bermuda and Barbados. In Jamaica, there are lots of things you can do like snorkeling and parasailing at its unique beaches, climbing Dunn's river falls, exploring the forests and strolling around the place with your family and friends. Negril is an ideal spring break destination with seven miles of white sand beaches. Experience real nature in Negril as you won't find there the usual tall structures and hotel chains that abound in many beach resorts.

Bermuda offers a more private ambience with lesser crowds. Going around the island for sight-seeing can be done by just biking or riding a bus, taxi or ferry. Try the cruise-boat outings there and check out The Aquarium and Devil's Hole, both popular tourist attractions.

For more privacy, Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic is the place to go. A number of all-inclusive resorts offer a great experience. For more adventure outside, you can try taking a safari at the Hispaniola jungles or swim along with the dolphins in the Caribbean sea.

Hardware and Software Requirements For Making Websites

,
3D ANIMATION :

A little while ago my old laptop needed replacing, it was over 3 years old and the battery had a 10 minute charge life and the charger was needing to be replaced. A quick visit to eBay and for less than 0 Australian a new Toshiba laptop was delivered.

About the same time I visited a friend who had spent over ,500 Australian on a laptop from a large electrical retailer. My friend mainly uses the laptop to check emails and create simple word documents, I was thinking that maybe a ,500 laptop was extravagant to their needs.

As a web page designer and article writer I feel that my 0 laptop completes my tasks with complete ease.

Most visitors to my Making Website Blog are beginning their learning path, my blog covers information in regards to content, domain names, web hosting and SEO. I though why shouldn't computer hardware and software be covered to, after all it is what is use to browse, compose and submit our work.

As you can see I don't think bigger is better, the 0 laptop has Vista as the operating system, 2GB of ram, 160GB of Hard Drive and the CPU is a Celeron 2.2Ghz. The tasks that this laptop needs to undertake are, web browsing of course, simple picture editing (cropping, resizing and compressing for the web), text editing and when I just want to be slack, my favourite game.

Now you know what hardware I use for my web design, I will now run through of my list essential software;

  • Web browsers - IE8, Firefox, Chrome, Opera and Safari. So we can check that the page views OK across a variety of platforms.
  • Gimp - For my picture editing.
  • Dreamweaver MX 2004 - Mainly used in text editing mode, and I like the site manager.
  • Xampp - Xampp creates a server on my PC so I can create a full working page so it can be tested before I upload
  • Fireftp - A Firefox plugin to transfer files.
  • And the last an most used software is windows notepad - I am using it now as I am writing this article. My Blog and EzineArticles have a feature where I can copy and paste text in to the "new post" form.

The above are my choices for hardware and software, some of you may like to use a desktop machine and would prefer to use a graphical interface to create your pages. I would like to know, and I assume that some the readers of my blog would be interested what you use.

3D Magix Review - Advanced 3D Animation Studio Software

,
3D ANIMATION :

3D animation is one of the hardest fields to master when it is not taught properly. It takes some people hundreds and hundreds of hours sitting behind a computer practicing and learning how to perfect 3D animation. 3D animation is just one of those fields that you really have to have good practice and good repetitiveness to really learn how to master. But if you do learn how to use 3D animation, it is one of the most fun, exciting, and challenging fields to be in.

I always use to want to do 3D graphics, editing, and creation since I was in high school. But after high school I never had access to computer software, books, and schooling for 3D animation due to monetary issues. I gave up wanting to do it because I never had the money in order to get software and most importantly a nice computer to put that software one.

One day I was searching through the internet and came across an ad called 3D Magix. 3G Magix is an advanced 3D animation and graphics studio software. I read up on 3D Magix because it looked interesting and the ad really great information. I looked over many reviews about the product and 3D Magix was well talked about it so I decided to give it a try because it was at a very tiny price compared to much of the 3D animation software out there. It also said that I did not need any fancy computer in order to run it and it teaches me everything I wanted to know about making 3D software and the actual software to make it.

I was very excited when I first bought 3D Magix because I was finally about to learn 3D graphics and animation at the comfort of home. When I first starting using 3D Magix it started off slow, mostly because it taught me from the very beginning then became more advanced. After using the 3D Magix for two months I already learned so much about 3D animation. I was able to do some of the things I always wanted to do. 3D Magix Software had so many videos to teach you and made learning it easy and fun.

I would not suggest it for people who are not serious about learning 3D animation because it does take time and effort. 3D software involves so much information, but if you put your mind to it the information is very easy to learn. But effort is needed in order to make this work and also practice. But once you really learn it becomes so much fun to watch create hundreds of your ideas and see them come to life. The sky is the limit if you have the ability to become the 3D software studio specialist you always wanted to be.

Make Your Character Come to Life With Character Animation

,
3D ANIMATION :

Creating your own cartoon character is a fun and exciting activity. Do you remember the time when you were a kid, when you just loved to draw cartoon characters along with the squiggles? There is no rule that you have to stop this hobby if you are still into it as you grow into an adult. If you want to engage in character animation, there are a few factors to consider. First, think of the word character. What do you want your cartoon to be all about? Imagining what your hero or heroine's character will be can help you get an initial idea and determine how your cartoon will look like. Start with the basic geometric shapes. Circles, squares and triangles are a good way to start your drawing. Then put in the details as you go along. Remember to include in your study drawings the different facial expressions of your character, like what it will look like when angry, happy or sad. Draw about five to seven initial drafts of your characters before going on to the next step.

Once you're done with your cartoon and you are satisfied with the initial sketches, then the next step is to write the script, which is the challenging part. It is important to have a script if your character animation will involve several cartoon characters and voice actors. The longer your animation feature is, the better your script will develop. It will help you in creating a solid storyboard, which is a small series of pictures and drawings of your complete animation. It will contain the highlights and important scenes of your plot. Your scenes do not have to be detailed, the basic sketches and rough drawings will do because the storyboard will just serve as your guide. You can even draw stick figures and simple geometric shapes for the background. With this, you don't have to necessarily record your audios in order.

There are several free or paid recording software available both for the Mac and PC platform. But since this is your first character animation, just go for the free or trial ones. You will also need a good quality microphone. A mic that can filter out background noise is a good choice but can be costly. Time your voice according to your animation. Or time your animation according to your voice. But it should be stressed that you should time everything. Otherwise, your animation will look like a dubbed foreign cartoon where the lips don' match the words!

Study animation various software and stick to the one that you feel most comfortable working on before looking for more advanced software. Of course you also have to consider the effects you are going to us like the background noise, music and the sound effects. Again, because you have a storyboard, you don't have to do the animation in sequence. You can go through the scenes and just arrange them when you're done. As easy as that, you can distribute copies of your animation feature. Remember to ask for feedback so that you can improve on your next project. Who knows, maybe one day you will be able to join the rank of the elite in the field of being a character animator?

,
3D ANIMATION :

Free movie tickets are among the most popular freebies on the market. Studios and advertisement agencies free movie tickets as enticements for increasing sales and profits.

Movie Studios often offer free movie tickets or a free screening of their new movies. The premise is that it will build up word of mouth hype around the movie and attract droves of more theatergoers to watch the movie. For example, when the movie Erin Brockovich was to be released in Bangalore, India, free tickets were distributed to women on a first come- first serve basis to organize an all woman screening on the first day.

Sometimes studios or theatres make arrangements with companies, offices, or educational institutions to distribute free tickets to their members. Children in particular are treated to free movie screenings. Some companies offer free movie tickets as incentives added to their compensation.

Very often, free movie tickets are offered as freebies when using the services or products of certain companies. The Internet is swarming with advertisements for free movie tickets that are given out to surfers who play particular games, order goods, buying products, or opt for free trials. For example, the famous chocolate maker Hershey's advertises an offer in which one must collect 16 points from specially marked packages of Milk Duds Candy, Whoppers Malted Milk Balls, or Hershey's Bites Candies to exchange for one free movie ticket.

There' s also a site called FreeMoviePremiereTickets.com. One can get a pack of 2 movie premier tickets after completing one free offer by the company. The tickets are paid for by the sponsors of the site who benefit by the increase in traffic you generate for them. The tickets are usually shipped in less than three days.

Many offers for free movie tickets end up being scams, but they are often genuine. Consumers usually have nothing to lose but time by looking into these offers.

There Virtual World Review - Create an Avatar & Life Out a Virtual Existence in a Fantastical World

,
3D ANIMATION :

With the success of Second Life, virtual reality simulations have come into their own in the past 5 years. Promising users an experience that transcends the limitations of real life, a virtual reality sim lets you be whatever you want to be right from the comfort of your own home. No wonder that the number of these virtual worlds/simulations has increased exponentially in the past few years.

There is a virtual world where you can create your own avatar and roam around in a 3D world populated by other There.com members. You can interact with other members, build your own houses, dress up your characters, buy stuff for them, etc. In other words, There aims to create an online identity for yourself that reflects the real you, or, as There.com itself puts it, be "everything you've imagined and wished for".

There is actually a downloadable application (around 500MB in size) that runs on your desktop. The system requirements are quite low and if you bought your PC within the past 2 years, you shouldn't have any problem running There.com.

There works on a membership model. Basic membership to the virtual world is free, but you have to shell out money for premium features like voice chat, or to buy virtual goods such as houses, clothing, accessories, etc.

Once you install the There.com application and become a member, you will be prompted to create your avatar. This 3D avatar will be your physical representation in the virtual world, and you have access to a wide variety of templates to pick from when making your avatar. You can dress up the model from a few different sets of clothing and accessories. Later on in the game, you can buy different items for your avatar to trick out his appearance.

After your avatar is created, you can basically walk around the various environments (desert, tropical paradise, city, town, etc.) chatting up with other members. If you have a premium membership, you can even voice chat with your fellow There.com users. There essentially works like a somewhat surreal simulation of real life; you will meet a wide variety of people in the virtual world, all dressed as wildly as you can possibly imagine.

Where There.com really shines is in its creation of a living, breathing world. You can buy and furnish your own house (and even put it up for rent), go shopping for shoes and clothing, buy yourself a car (or design your own ride), hold an exhibition of your 'art' (which you can later sell for Therebucks - There.com's virtual currency), create your own virtual movies, and lots, lots more. The way you interact with other members and the world around you makes for a delightful experience, and it is not extra ordinary to strike up deep and meaningful friendships with people halfway across the globe.

However, in terms of pure features and interactivity potential, There cannot hold a candle to Second Life. Although these are two completely different beasts (Second Life is more of a virtual reality simulation, while There is more chat and people oriented), comparisons to Second Life are inevitable, if unfair.

In terms of graphics, There does not match up to the latest PC games such as Call of Duty 4. Nonetheless, the "game" still looks quite good and runs very smoothly on even old PCs. There's servers are more than capable of handling the load of several thousand players, and there is hardly any lag while playing the game.

Users concerned about privacy issues will have to just buckle up and go with the flow. A virtual world, by default, does not endear itself to privacy, and There is no different. Although you can block individual users (or groups of users), it is very easy for other members to see what you've been up to in the game. Paranoid people should best avoid this game.

In conclusion, There is a great virtual world that excels in its handling of chat and people-to-people interactions. If you are looking for something more complex and demanding, you might be disappointed with the limited features that There offers, but for those of you looking to meet new people without all the hassles of a virtual life simulation, There is the perfect tool.

Do You Need a 3D DVD Player to Enjoy the Full Cinematic Effects of a 3D Movie?

,
3D ANIMATION :

If you are into cinematic-enhanced movies, you might be wondering if you will need a 3D DVD player to enjoy a 3D movie. Since most of the movies now are turning 3D, movie-goers are encouraged to watch them in the theaters! But, you might not need a DVD player just to watch 3D movies. How is this possible? You just needed the right gadgets to help you enjoy the movie at home.

How does 3D work?

Traditionally it works by emitting light from the screen. This is best appreciated using red and blue glasses to maximize the effects. Conventional 3D movies work by using SD or Standard Definition methods.

Fast forward to the present, 3D movies now uses stereoscopic filming. Movies like Avatar and My Bloody Valentine use Digital 3D that is more detailed than conventional three dimensional movies.

You will appreciate a Digital 3D movie through High Definition TV due to its clarity.

Is it required to watch 3D movies using a 3D DVD player?

The answer is no. You can still watch 3D movies using your standard TV at home. Just get a pair of red and blue glasses and you are all set!

If you own a HDTV or a 3D DVD player, you get to enjoy a movie in 3D better. Instead of wearing colored glasses, 3D movies in HDTV is best watched using clear glasses to make the scenes 'pop-out'. It gives better results and the satisfaction might be closer to that in a cinema!

Here are some tricks to maximize your viewing pleasure:

* Heighten the brightness in your TV. If you are using standard television to watch a 3D animation, wearing those colored glasses might make the images dim. To avoid this, increase the brightness to compensate the dark shades from your glasses. This might improve the quality a bit.

* Switch off the lights: You get to experience the full cinematic effects by dimming the room. This enhances the images and projects other bright-colored scenery from the screen. It also lessens the double-vision, halo effects and improves the brightness of the effects.

* Sit closer to the television: You will get a better view and focus if you sit in front -- not on the sides. If you must, you can sit a little closer to appreciate the visuals.

So grab a good pair of red and blue glasses, pop-corn, some soda and company and enjoy a three dimensional movie today!

Find a Best Dog Friend Online

,
3D ANIMATION :

Every year, tens of thousands of healthy dogs are uselessly
euthanized because they don't have homes. They may have been
neglected, gotten lost, or run away. Hopefully they are picked
up by the local shelter, but unless they are adopted, they are
sadly put to sleep.

Many people think these animals are mangy mixed breeds that
aren't that highly desirable, but that isn't the truth. Any dog
can be a great dog, but even quality pure-bred animals aren't
immune to reality.

Many pure-bred, highly-desirable breeds are lost or neglected
every year. These dogs are intelligent animals that, like any
domestic animal, deserve loving homes. Finding these dogs table, loving homes can help alleviate the problems of vercrowded shelters and euthanasia. Anyone who takes in a dog--even from a breeder--may be saving the animal's life.

Dog lovers looking for a new best friend are finding a new
partner in their mission...the Internet. Every day, millions of
people search online classifieds or dedicated pet-finding sites
to find great dogs that all need homes. People looking for a dog can quickly match, screen, and select dog breeders in their area. Breeders of dogs can even find good homes for their puppy litters or adult dogs.

Those who would like a certain breed or pure-bred dog would be
wise to check out sites on the Net that specialize in connecting
owners and sellers with the animals of their choice. Dog lovers
can search for certain breeds in any geographical area, and can
screen breeders so they know they're dealing with reputable
people and quality animals.

At the same time, breeders looking to place animals--puppy or
adult--can list their services, experience, etc. on the website.
This gives breeders a wide audience of potential clients, and
they can also carefully screen those wanting to buy the dogs they have. It's a good way for dog lovers and breeders to get what they want, and it's a great way for great dogs to find great owners who really want them.

Do You Really Need Anti Aging Natural Skin Care Products?

,
3D ANIMATION :

Let's face it a lot of people these times are more into acquiring anti aging natural skin care products. As of what many would say, the more it's natural the more it's safe. Is that true? Since many are interested in getting into the natural approach in life, only knowledge and experience would be able to determine if anti aging natural skin care products are more advisable than synthetic ones.

Usually when talking about skin care you come about two things that are linked to this topic; organic and natural. Though both organic and natural skin care involves the process of doing what is right for the body. This is where one's advised to maintain a healthy diet by eating enough fruits and vegetables daily, exercising everyday, staying away from too much exposure to the sun's rays, avoiding excessive fat intake and since one needs to be hydrated, so drinking lots of water is a must. Doing this things and making it a daily habit makes the skin aging process slow down and surely you'll have a healthy and radiant skin. You might not even need anti aging natural skin care products on your way to success for a younger looking skin.

Anti aging natural skin care products may be derived from different ingredients many claims that their products are natural. Natural may be defined differently from one person to another and that makes the word "natural" a somewhat complicated word. Certain elements that are derived from earth can come naturally but these natural elements may or may not be beneficial to one's skin. Most of the cosmetic companies have derived the ingredients of their anti aging natural skin care products from different compounds that are rarely known to simple individuals like us and most of these compounds are present in other animal species and might even be extracted from them. Who knows?

So come to think of it, anti aging natural skin care products may as well be beneficial in some way to make it easier for you to cope up with skin aging problems, but sometimes you've to actually choose the harder way. It may be easier for you to apply those serums and creams into your skin instead of keeping a healthy diet, but what is true is that the skin needs nourishment and even if you apply all those skin products in your skin, without proper nourishment your skin will still be unhealthy.

What is the Purpose of the Fish and Wildlife Service?

,
3D ANIMATION :

The United States Fish and Wildlife Service Fisheries program has been in existence for 133 years. Their goal is to maintain the populations of all species of fish while also providing ample opportunities for the fishermen of the United States. The Fisheries program consists of two different programs, the Fish and Wildlife Management Assistance Program and the National Fish Hatchery System. The Fisheries program looks at species of it that are in danger of extinction and works to rebuild their population, as well as to provide education to the public about those particular species of it.

There are many responsibilities assigned directly to the Fish and Wildlife Management Assistance program of the Fish and Wildlife Service. The management assistance part of the name refers to their planning and management services, with regard to animal populations. While not directly involved, they participate in the planning end of restoring endangered fish populations. They monitor the numbers of it in the hatcheries and how long they have been there, and they monitor, regulate and prevent the invasion of predator species. When repopulating does occur, the program monitors the repopulation to see how effective it is. Public education regarding conservation is their final responsibility.

The National Fish Hatchery program has multi-functional responsibilities. They use hatcheries to breed fish that have no genetic defects and then place them into the wild to repopulate in areas that are depleted. The hatchery workers do research to identify and try to prevent disease that may be affecting it and aquatic wildlife. In addition to all of this, they also provide refuge habitats to it that have become an endangered species, as an attempt to allow them time to breed for the purpose of repopulating.

The Fish and Wildlife Service Fish Hatchery program ensures the survival of game fish by monitoring and maintaining their populations. They do this by forcing compliance with limits imposes by both the state and federal governments. The purpose in doing this is to ensure that game fish such as the largemouth bass and the smallmouth bass do not get into a state that could border on endangerment. Fishing is not only a great source of both food and fun, but it is also a major part of the economy in areas where there are large bodies of water or large rivers. Any upset in the population of a local game fish, could have very negative repercussions on the local economy.
